Workshop I: Practical Observation Session: day to day management practices of Quality Assurance Agencies and Vice-Rectorates for Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning

Training Visit on QA within the Tempus project Strengthening Quality Assurance System within Western Balkans HEIs in support of National and Regional Planning CUBRIK (158999-TEMPUS-ES-TEMPUS-SMGR).
We have the pleasure to invite you to the 1 st training visit on quality assurance within the Tempus CUBRIK project that is to be held from 13 th to 16 th July 2010 in Vienna, Austria and in Alicante, Spain according to the following schedule

Representatives of the QAA and the Vice-Rectors in charge of QA are invited to participate in a 3-days retraining workshop/practical session in order to acquire practical knowledge and management skills concerning the day to day operation of a Vice-Rectorate for QA and Strategic Planning in Vienna and at the University of Alicante. One of the sessions will be held at the University of Alicante which has a long experience in implementing quality culture within its institution through operational integrated quality unit in place. Participants will be invited to participate in daily activities of the Vice-Rectorate and QA unit. In Alicante particular attention will be paid to the training on aspects related to:

- Getting the involvement in assessment services of universities academy, students, and stakeholders.
- Day-to-day management of the Vice-Rectorate and QA units and its relation to the institution;
- Quality Strategic Planning & annual development plan, record analysis and formulations of recommendations for improvements; analysis of the satisfaction of stakeholders.
