KICK-OFF MEETING CUBRIK PROJECT

The kick off meeting of CUBRIK, “Strengthening Quality Assurance System within Western Balkans HEIs in Support of National and Regional Planning”, was opened with a speech by Prof. Cecilia Gomez, Vice-President of Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning. This first meeting for the project provided a chance to the consortium to better understand the project, the anticiapted activities and outcomes and to get to know the partners from both EU and partner counrties. 

Introducion of the project was given by the project manager, Carolina Madeleine, with concreted details on visions and objectives followed by the presentation on project management by Ms Michelle Grindle, Senior Project Manager of the International Project Management Office, University of Alicante. Both presentations gave a clear instruction to the members on both scientific as well as administrative tasks of the project in the coming 3-year project life cycle.

Each participant then gave a presentation with a specific focus on their quality assurance system or situation of their institution that brought the consortium more recent information about every partner on its strength and needs. An open discussion was held in the second day of the meeting in which all the partners discussed the workplan and the following activities. After fierce discussion and contructive suggestions by all the members, the next meeting was then set at the end of March in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia.

Apart from the discussion of the project activities, the website and the extranet were also introduced so as to disseminate the project and faciliate the communication among the partners respectively.
