Institutional Assessment of Universities with the EFQM

Act. 5.1 & 5.2: The Self-Assessment, and Institutional Accreditation of Universities with the EFQM

Universities, after having received intensive training programme (workshop III, ACT 4.3) choose their self-assessment method and study programme to be assessed according to their preferences and needs. The structure of the self assessment they carried out was based on the 9 criteria of the EFQM Excellence Model. An assessment committee was nominated at each university to be in charge of the assessment process and it was composed by: 1 Vice Rector for Quality Assurance or similar, 2 experts from the Quality Assurance Unit , 2 teachers, 1 administrative and 1 student representative.

As a result of this process each Partner Universities developed an understanding of its strengths, areas for improvement and a prioritized improvement plan.

During the following stage the Partner Countries Universities are deploying the improvement actions previously defined basing on the feedback of the EU experts who carried out a site visit to each Partner Country University of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Serbia.

The internal assessment process was coordinated and supervised by UA, together with EhB and UCC.
